Why had she let her daddy and brother talk her into this? Gemma Kitridge hadn't even enjoyed being on a broom anytime she had been near one and the ten-year-old wasn't really thrilled to have balls being thrown at her, but she decided it could be fun to meet some new friends and maybe since it was a quidditch pitch there could be pretty flowers around. Quidditch pitches were grass, weren't they?
So here she was but listening she wasn't. She saw everyone around the volunteers listening, but she was a few feet behind twirling around. Twirling was fun and her mother said to always be who you wanted to be and right now Gemma wanted to be a twirling bird.
