It was a new one and represented the start of her second year at school.. Which turned out mercifully to be Hogwarts. She was rather glad to be done with Beauxbatons. Her previous sketch pad, the one filled with artwork and which represented her memories of her first year, was locked away in her room safely.

The sketch Claudine was working on was her first one for this pad, so one could say it was the christening sketch. Just what was she sketching? A very young girl opposite of her having an ice cream.

Rowan was embarrassed. So much so, his face was beet red as he awkwardly shuffled out of the ice cream parlor. His two year old sister had just smushed ice cream all over his face, and everyone had definitely seen it. Everyone had also definitely seen his mother wipe it all off with a handful of napkins. Thankfully, his father, being the understanding man that he was, let him go off on his own while they finished shopping without him. Thank Merlin, cos he definitely couldn't stand five more minutes in that parlor with all the stares and his laughing sister.

While he walked, he noticed a familiar face... one he had encountered at the ball at Beauxbatons... the one who had stared at him when he spilled all that powdered sugar all over his dress robes. Ah. Lovely. Was he always that embarrassing? He frowned at the idea as he slowly approached her. Quickly forcing a smile, he gave her a small "Hey, Claudine" as not to startle her (Claudine was her name right? He was so bad with names...) She seemed rather caught up in her drawing. "Can I see what you're drawing?" he added curiously. He wasn't gonna be all nosy and just look, he had to ask permission first of course.
