A slow smirk crept across his face before answering her question, anticipating the exasperated eye roll that was sure to follow. "...because I had a black eye," says easily, brushing his thumb over his nose before glancing at a nearby candle.
One thing he had come to accept about himself was that he tended to be the rain cloud on everyone's day...and Trinetta tended to be one of those he rained on the most. Though he would argue until he turned blue that she brought that on to herself. "...I haven't felt that inclination," he shrugged slightly as he poked at some of the wax dripping down. "...everything here feels a bit much." And he would be saying that even without this school giving him a black eye. "I actually miss Himitsumahou being here."
Not about to admit he was lost, he had to think quick to come up with some sort of reason. And the only one he could think of was that stupid wax Divination he had mentioned earlier. So he couldn't use THAT...but he could build off of that. "My uncle always had us meditate in front of a flame before practice. Knew I could find some flame here and plenty of space."
