She sniffled pathetically and came to a stop right behind the Beauxbatons Headmistress, nearly bumping into the woman, and finally looking up, and looking around a little. She saw Cece full-on crying, Claudine NOT saying anything, and... and the Headmistress.... s--she was going to send them HOME?!
Bernie was still holding her wand between both her hands, but at this announcement, she flat-out DROPPED IT. She could not--- she couldn't--- she didn't even---
"I don't even have a working WAND!" the first year wailed, BURSTING into tears and covering her eyes with both her hands. HOW COULD THEY SEND HER HOME when she was DEFENSELESS?!!!?!
