Books are amazing... from the first, I was charmed by the style and complicated thread-weaving. The films made me sit up and scream "They shouldn't have changed that!"
It wasn't really Harry that interested me the most, but the cast of characters around him-- friends, relatives, enemies. But I do admit his awe of magic was endearing.
