She liked having friends to collaborate with....most of the time. Making her way over to the targets, she noticed a first year Slytherin and a Gryffindor boy getting ready to practice together. Well, the professor didn't say it had to be groups of two! "Mind if I work with you guys?" she said with a smile before leaning down to grab a beanbag. The young Ravenclaw tossed it on the floor in front of her. "Shall we take turns?" Pointing her wand at the beanbag, she murmured the incantation a few times in practice before her first try. "Alarte Ascendare!" she said firmly. The beanbag quickly shot just a few inches off the ground before plopping back down. Well, at least it moved. Some more practice should help, right? Lucas smiled slightly at her response. Fiona. He would have to remember that. as for her question, he...... glanced over at the beanbags nearby. Did he want to go first? If he was completely honest, the answer was no. It was his instant response to anything like this. But maybe Fiona needed to see it happen first. She was the younger one here and he was supposed to be, y'know, the older cool kid.
He opened his mouth to answer her but it was then that he was interrupted by someone else (Avalon). "Oh, yeah, sure. The more, the merrier, right?" Ha...... ha. Not his motto but he couldn't leave the girl to work on her own, either. "I'm Lucas, by the way."
Taking turns didn't sound like a bad idea. The fourth year pushed up his sleeves slightly as he watched the young Ravenclaw get to work and- ........ oh. Yikes. But a few inches was something, right? "Good try! You've nearly got it." She wasn't expecting an analysis from him, was she? His best effort at something like that would probably be 'keep trying, it'll work' which........ well.
So was it his turn? Yeah? Lucas gripped onto his wand tightly and pointed it in the direction of the beanbag. Concentrate, Dakest, come on. Alarte. Ascendare. Alarte Ascendare. "Alarte Ascendare!" he called, flicking his wand upwards. Sure, the beanbag shot up, causing a smile to spread across the boy's face, only for it to fade the minute the beanbag stopped at his height and landed with a FLOP! back on the ground again.
........... Huh. "Fiona, you ready?"
