With Phoebe's reassurance and the beanbag her friend had placed at her feet, Cecelia was ready to give this spell a REAL go. Pine wand pointed at the blue beanbag, the first year flicked her wrist upwards and said, "Alarte Ascendare!" It DID move it a LITTLE, she'd give herself THAT, only it DIDN'T fly OR go near the target. The disappointment was real.
Casting a glance around the room to see if any OTHER firsties had managed the task, the small blonde tried to picture her OWN bag flying up and getting a bullseye RIGHT in front of EVERYONE. She bet that would be REAL impressive and she really DID want to get it right. Time to try again.
"Alarte Ascendare!" This time BEFORE she'd even said it, she pictured the bag going UP and she REALLY wanted to make it happen. She figured that could only help and it DID! Her bag actually JUMPED, making HER jump, and GIGGLE, and GRIN! "Cool!"
