Then and there, he recognized another nameplate, dated 2080-2081 from a former Hufflepuff head boy, that brought a tiny smile to his face. Hi, dad. There was no other Oakey Gunter that this one could think of, and from what his mum told him, dad was definitely head boy in his days. Close by, Drewett recognized a 'Dylan Montmorency' nameplate too. He knew well enough that he was dad's best friend.

Drewett only realized he had been so into his thoughts that he was startled when someone else slipped into the room. He turned his head to look at her, an eyebrow slightly raised as he processed her general appearance without her noticing him yet. She looked tired. Drained. It was quite a mood if you asked him, but he'd never seen Nina like this before. She usually had herself composed whenever she was out in public. The Ravenclaw suddenly felt that maybe, just maybe, the fourth year wanted to be alone for whatever purpose it may be. See, she was even locking the door.

...Awkward.

His green eyes met hers before he opened up his mouth. "Hello." So. Uhm. "Everything...okay?" Drewett had a lot more questions he wanted to ask but he certainly wasn't the type to bombard her with them. He didn't leave his spot on the floor just yet.

She averted her eyes, choosing to focus in on her skirt. Which really did not need adjusting, but she decided to give it attention anyway. "Totally," she looked up, giving him a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. Totally wasn't a word she typically used, she hadn't realized it had even slipped into her vocabulary. Immediately she knew that it was strange rolling off her tongue. In a quick need to draw attention away from the fact that she had said something so obscure, the Slytherin took a step forward, "were you looking at the name plates?!"

Because that would be a far better topic of conversation, right? The other thing would be far too uncomfortable. While some of her new dormmates liked to step into discomfort, Nina was quite the opposite. She loved her comfort zone. It was safe. And welcoming. And never asked too many questions. It's why she enjoyed spending time with Calloway. He never pushed her and typically he let her take control of the conversation. She could always divert conversation, redirecting it from herself to him. He never noticed. Or if he did, he didn't seem to take issue to it.

Ethan was the same way. And so was Józef. Most of the boys she surrounded herself with were, to be quite honest. There were only a few who didn't let her get away with it. Eiji Rasting being one of the frontrunners in that respect. Ironically, he had become one of her close friends despite this irritating tendency of his not to let her control.
