 Scene two! Arts TRANSPONSTER!
Catherine has spent the entire day organising her things, especially the area Cecelia and herself would be using for their play date that day.
Making sure all of Noah's belongings were out of the way - and Scarlett's? How in the world Scarlett's stuff ended up in their bedroom, she would never know (and she didn't want to know, to be honest, because she knew it wouldn't be good) -, the girl set her desk in a way she could place a second chair across from her own seat. Her watercolour supplies were neatly lined up in a corner of her side of the desk so there would be no way Cecelia or anyone could ruin them touch them and accidentally mess it all up.
Turning to look at her wall board, the 10 year-old fixed one of the letters sent by her best friend, making it straight again. She took a few steps back to take a better look at the board and make sure everything was in its rightful place. It all seemed tidy enough for her, so she went out of her bedroom, closing the door behind her.
Catherine arrived in the living room just in time to see Calen putting some glasses of orange juice out for when the guests arrived. She gingerly took the seat on the sofa nearest to the door and waited patiently for her best friend to arrive. |
