Vita was smart. She liked to think she was, anyway. No way she'd go around committing crimes for no reason, especially crimes she didn't think she could get away with. That was just the reality of it. Still, she tried to imagine what she wouldn't do to protect Maverick, or Indigo, or any of the family she'd made for herself here or at Stemp House and she just wasn't sure. When it came to people she loved, she sort of had tunnel vision, and that could cloud her judgement, she was sure.
