Hidden deep behind a multitude of Muggle-Repelling charms, near Llyn Cau in Wales, is a rather extensive complex of buildings. Paramount of those is a set of barns and enclosures, but there’s also two houses and a small creature healing complex. The entirety of the complex is known as Tangnefedd, or in simpler terms, Serenity Creature Sanctuary. Its purpose is to care for the magical creatures living in Snowdonia, along with any brought for specialized treatment from outside.

Workers and any visitors are welcome to stay in the main house, still overseen by the original onsite healer, Seren Llywelyn, although the current healer, Isolde Sveinson, Seren’s niece, stays in the stone house nearby with her husband Kaleb, their daughter Alysa and the family pets (Pryderi, a Siberian forest cat, Luna, a Maltipoo, and Shadow, Kaleb’s wolfdog). Most of the creatures in the barns are transient, but there’s a curious niffler who’s been there since Isolde was in university.

In general, things run relatively smoothly around the complex, but every once in a while there’s a troublesome unicorn or kelpie to deal with…
