Jackson looked at the plant near him, analyzing the leaves, wondering which to pick. Gloves on, he picked what looked like the five best leaves and plucked them from the tree. He took a seat again at his station, removed his gloves, and began the wonderfully tedious process of getting the oils out. Pretending he would ever actually go fishing, Jackson flourished his wand. “Natratraho... Natratraho…” until finally he had collected what seemed like all of the oil he could. Carefully, Jackson added this to his potion, peering over the side of the cauldron. So far so… okay at least. They would see in a moment. And with that confidence, Jackson added an ounce of the extract to his potion and watched anxiously as it turned…… hey! Not bad! It was a pretty good yellow color, in his opinion. With at least a singular breath of relief, Jackson moved on to the next step. He was one stir in when he stopped and even gasped a bit. He had definitely gone clockwise…

Rolling his eyes and muttering under his breath, Jackson corrected himself, hoping he hadn’t done too much damage there. He carefully stirred the potion, watching as it began turning to a murky color. He watched, hoping it would turn a more solid brown color. In the end, it was a little dark, but definitely brown! Cue a big sigh of relief. He waved his wand and rested his head on his hand to take a break if you will.

Oh? Partners, eh? Jackson looked around and heard Stella calling out nearby. "I'm free!" he responded, looking over at her. He needed a partner too anyway!

Extract the oils from the leaves by useing the natatraho spell as previously taught in one of Kate's lessons (fishing wand motion) 3. Add extracted oils to potion 4. Add 1oz of the blended dittany extract which isavailable to each student potion should stem yellow after extract has been added. 5. Stir gently 7 times to mix the potion , anti-clockwise til the potion turns brown. 6. Wave your wand to complete the potion.
