The student's got brewing and mixing their essence of dittany potions and Joshua made his way around knowing full well that this wasn’t a very standard herbology practical. Trying new things though we’re fun and inspiring and that was what he told the student’s if they grumbled.

When the two hours was up Joshua beamed broadly as he made his way back up front to face the student’s "Wonderful potion work everyone! I shall tell Professor Noble how proud he should be of all your potioneering skills." It was warming to see so many finished essence of dittany potions.

"Now then for the final part of our lesson you’re going to be using your newly brewed essence of dittany potion and your remaining bush leaves to heal a dummmy patient. Headmaster Trent has lended them to us for this activity since the’re usal home is the DADA training room." Professor Wishart paused here to use his wand to make the curtains around the beds disappear, revealing dummy patients (that looked very human) with real open shallow flesh wounds and small cuts waiting to healed by the students.

Heading over to the nearest dummy patient with a vail of the essence of dittany potion and a handful of leaves in hand he beackoned for the student’s to follow him over there for the demonstration. Stopping near the dummy Professor Wishart spoke as he started to instruct the students in what they needed to do. "Dittany can be applied topically or swallowed raw to have the same healing effect. These dummies can’t swallow though, so that way is not available to us today."

"What i want you all to do either solo or in pairs is to try administering dittany topically by pouring 3 drops of the essence of dittany potion into the shallow wounds. and apply the 1-2 leaves to the cuts. It's up to each of you to judge if 3 drops of potion and 1-2 leaves are enough to heal your patient just like when we work with plants. Not every plant or in this case dummy patient will require as much healing." He went quiet as he showed them how both of these things we’re done.

"I want you all to also jot down a few observations on parchment of what you see and how the dittany effects the wounds. Choose a patient and get to work you have 1 hour to complete the activity!"

Your student is going to solo or in pairs, heal a dummy patient by administering the dittany potion of 3 drops to the wounds and 1-2 dittany leaves to the cuts and make a few observations on parchment using the below format in as many or as few posts as you'd like. You have 3 days until Wednesday Feb 13th @ approx 7pm GMT+1 to complete your activities before i wrap up and close the lesson. Catching up is allowed for all parts! Have fun and be creative!
