Speaking of things missing, could the Professors robes be part of the missing things?

Professor Wishart muttered quite loudly to himself as he entered the laundry room on this particular wednesday afternoon. He was not amused. His favourite green and brown work robes which he wore practically everyday in class we're missing, as in nowhere to be found in the whole greenhouses.
