The young man saw nothing funny about this whole situation. At all. Especially having to quickly dodge a....ew....meat pie at least it wasn't a people pie, eh? one of the buffet-planted people threw his direction. He was in the process of raising his wand when two things happened almost simultaneously. The first being the appearance of the A&C head, the other being the appearance of a shield around Bones. "There's someone else here, someone disillusioned!" he exclaimed as a warning, casting a silent Revelio to hopefully force said person to, well, reveal themselves. After all, for all they knew, it could be the person responsible for the whole mess in the first place. Though, why they'd want to protect the Senior Undersecretary he didn't know...unless the person wanted to deal with her personally or something. Or it was her or someone associated with her that was responsible for this mess. Either way, one didn't graduate Hogwarts (or grow up with his mum) without learning about constant vigilance and that definitely applied here.
Did he know or care that his snarky comment may have made Shacklebolt and Bones suspicious of him? Not in the slightest. Though, if he knew about the letters, he would've been inclined to agree with them. Not the 'death' part, but everything else.
Anyway, he agreed with the A&C guy's words. That, after all, had been what he was trying to do, without the chance of injuring someone. Ronan wasn't quite so certain that levitating them was the best idea, though. All it would take was one accidental bump of the head on a doorway..... Seeing as the other two already had two of the people though, the Auror-in-training didn't see much room for argument. So, he sent a levitation spell at Former Professor Vance with a "Watch your head." What? He didn't want to hurt his former Divination professor.
