Lost for words, Ray gave another nod. Right, yes. The top of the list. Inks for Professors. "Well we have a vast array of inks, in almost any colour possible." Ray turned to the ink displays and gestured to some of them. "The standard ones," he pointed out the sapphire, onyx, ruby, and emerald inks. There was a small assortment of standard quills in jars and strips of parchment lining the bench in case one wished to test the inks out. "All of the non-standard inks can be made lighter or darker, too." There were rows and rows of ink, arranged in an inky rainbow.

Whilst writing some gift cards for his family, with big loopy letters, he heard the tinkle of the door alerting him to another customer. This time, it was a young girl. Perhaps going into her first or second year. He offered her a wave of greeting, but she seemed to know what she needed.

"Good day," he said, as she walked up with the items she picked out. He started to count up the prices and place them into a parchment bag for her. "Right, yes, just over here," he said, stepping out from behind the counter to approach the muggle artefact areas. "These are the muggle notebooks, but the supply list refers to them as composition books." He really should change the signs on the display cabinets. He left her briefly so she could browse through the covers for one she liked, and continued to tally up her items.
She browsed through the notebook covers, picking out 9 of them. She picked out a few with stars, a few with maps, and a few with Hufflepuff covers. She took them back to the counter, satisfied with her choices.

"These ones will be good, thank you," she said.
