The weather was chilly and the clouds reflected her mood as she approached the makeshift classroom outside of the barn.

Kaitlynn felt the warmth wash over her as she approached closer to the desks and chose one in the middle to stand by hoping that the more students that trickled in the more shielded she could be. She looked down at ground and clasped her hands in front of her. She didn't nod or wave in the direction of Professor Petrov and his snake. Silently she waited for class to begin.
Aleksandur, stroking his lovely snake wrapped around his neck, watched as his first student arrived; Kaitlynn, Ravenclaw second year. His eyes looking over her uniform to make sure she was properly dressed for the lesson. He was glad that these students were finally starting to take the rules seriously. Though he was sure to have some that still refused. For now she passed. No greetings however...they would recieve that as a group so he didn't have to repeat himself over and over.

It was difficult not to let her attention stray to watch for the flying horses, but Chloe put on her sternest expression and stared right at the professor. Look at her following ALL the rules, sir.
Chloe, sixth year Ravenclaw, came up next. She was also perfectly dressed and standing next to her desk just as she should. It was a sign of respect to your superiors after all. Hopefully the Ravenclaws wouldn't be the only ones taking the respectful route.

Honestly though, she had been hoping that the decoration would've caught on by now, with more and of her classmates following her lead until they were like their own version of the Order of the Phoenix. Alas, it seemed that she was going to have to shoulder this burden on her own, since it seemed like Hogwartians were a big bunch of pansies. It was one thing she missed about Illvermorny (aside from her friends). There, everyone would've been raising absolute hell by now.

Anyway, she entered the area set aside for class, surprised by and thankful for the warming charm the professor had placed. She wasn't expecting it, considering the dictator's stance on cold being 'character-building' and the fact that this professor had been hired by said man. All these thoughts stayed in her head as she stood by a desk not quite in the back, but definitely not the front.
Alek sighed as Archer made her way to stand next to a seat. Of course she would still be wearing that ridiculously looking thing on her back. It didn't even look like a Phoenix...to him at least, and he had been up close and personal with many. "That'll be five points from Hufflepuff, Archer for inappropriate attire." His Bulgarian accent showing itself. With a stern look he shook his head, disgusted at the disrespect for the rules.

More so than the others who had turned up as new hire by the headmaster, anyway, but there was an overwhelming sense that there was something wrong. She didn’t trust him at all, and not only because of the suspicious change in the rules regarding barn visits. Of course, she really disliked him for effectively barring her from visiting all her beloved creatures; Dobby, Albus, Claire, Cygnus, and all the others. That was a given, and it was hard to gain the position of truly disliked in the tall blonde prefect’s mind. Before this term that had been reserved only for the people who had effectively taken her father away from her, but this term was challenging that.

Either way, she hadn’t given up on CoMC as a subject. She just had to hope that one day she wasn’t going to find that all of the creatures in the barn had been grossly mistreated, and she felt like assuming that lessons were the closest she’d get to keeping an eye on them all. The cold weather hardly bothered her by now, what with the daily SORE exercises outside and everything else, yet she’d been surprised to find a warming charm set up in the outdoor classroom set up outside of the barn. It had to be for the snake’s benefit. She highly doubted any of the Scrimgeour-approved professors would care one bit about their comfort, and the rules regarding what was ‘respectable behavior’ kept her from saying anything as she took up a position near a desk near the middle.

Because that was another thing that had changed. If it had been Professor Wayland, she would have claimed a seat up front. It was all a matter of trust.
Stasya the fifth year Gryffindor Prefect came in next. She was always very respectful, but Alek knew she didn't like him. Honestly...he really didn't care. He watched as she made her way to a desk and stood next to it, making sure her uniform was up to par.

He didn't need to be on anyone's bad side, but if he was... he didn't need it to be a snake. He removed his cloak and hung it over his arm for now.
Jackson, fifth year Ravenclaw Prefect. He had been very helpful showing him to the Headmaster's quarters. He noted the nod, and ignored it, making sure that his uniform was worn correctly. Was it time for this lesson to start yet? He checked his pocket watch with a sigh.

This time of year, she was fully appreciate the dress code. Although the school robes were warm, she added her own heating charms for the lesson. She headed down to the barn where the first thing she seen was the winged horses. That was a good sign for a great lesson, right? She passed by the professor and his snake around his neck. Giving him a nod as she passed him on her way to her seat. As per usual or what was now the usual of standing next to her seat and waiting for class to begin.
So many Ravenclaws today. Interesting. Alek watched as Juniper made her way to her seat and stood next to it. At least everyone was respecting that rule. He looked over the sixth year Quidditch Captain, making sure her uniform was in order. She seemed to have every layer she could possibly get on her body. He couldn't blame her for not being used to the frigid weather. She would just have to suck it up.

[QUOTE=DaniDiNardo;12360337]It was only February.

Was it just her or did time seem to be moving at an unbearably slow pace? The girl felt quite close to losing her mind and it was only February. To everyone who’d told her it would be over before she knew it, she could see the lie for what it was now; just a lie. It wouldn’t be over soon. Graduation wasn’t right around the corner. Lessons were around the corner. Strict professors. Unnecessary detentions and point loss. Anxiety.

Jessa made her way to the class, finding it easy to follow the no talking rule. She didn’t typically have much to say in general but these days she’d fallen even further into her silence. Everything happened in her head. It was the wildest and loudest party she’d ever been forced to sit through, but outwardly she was as silent as a crypt.

Standing silently with the others, in a spot by Chloe, Jessa spared a glance at the stables. She worried for her aethonan under this new management. He didn’t like strangers and took a while to warm up to people.

Perhaps she would pop in for a visit before heading to her next class.

Alek watched as Jessa made her way to her seat. She seemed to be very distracted, not that he cared. As long as she did the work everything would be fine. He quickly looked over her uniform to make sure she was wearing it properly, before checking his pocket watch for the time and returning it to his pocket.

"Welcome, students. You may be seated." Aleksandur said loud enough for everyone to hear. He also wasn't about showman ship. He got right to the point with all of his lessons. Alek moved closer to the blackboard and with a flick of his wand the word 'AUGUREY' showed up in thick white letters.

"Today we will be dealing with Augurey's." He said with a small smirk, making him look creepier than he already did. He made his way back to the center of the space and looked around at all the student's faces. "Please, raise your hand and when I call on you, give me one fact that you know about Augurey's." Alek stood at the front of the class waiting patiently for their answers, stroking Hera's belly.

OOC: This is a very straight forward task. You have 24 hours to respond.
