Fire, especially hot fire, was an excellent antiseptic, as Chloe was learning. First with using the super hot flame on the cauldron, and now as Chloe ran her stirring rod and knife twice through the blue flame beneath her cauldron. Once her supplies were sterilised, Chloe turned her attention to her rosemary, stripping off the leaves just like the professor demonstrated. After the stalk was clean and the leaves lay on the table in a tidy pile, Chloe could turn her sterilised knife to the leaves. Chopping wasn't her strong suit, since it required an attention to detail she wasn't particularly skilled at, but Chloe tried her best for even, tiny pieces.
One tablespoon went into the cauldron, followed by her stirring stick, and Chloe stirred it twice clockwise. And the murtlap tentacle... ewww. Chloe grimaced as she mimicked the professor's cut, and her face was all disgust as she added the honeywater and began to toss the tentacle and water together. It was terribly squishy, even with her gloves on, and the professor was a brave man to do it without reacting. The whole mess went into the cauldron, and then Chloe cleaned off her gloves before adding the tea tree oil. At least that smelled nice.
