For this assignment, you must make a luxury toiletry set for yourself and then USE said toiletry set. You must write a short reflection after using your toiletry set and how each of your products did while using them. Your set must include:

A soap
a face mask or scrub
A towel (face cloth)

How to make soap (hardest part, kiddos)

Pick your plant based oil! Any of these will work - available in the greenhouse! Your character will have technically pulled out the oils from these plants themselves since we learned it in class.

A lye and water mixture will be provided. This is needed to make soap. Once you have picked all of your substances, pour them all in a cauldron. Do not let them sit for too long, or the chemical reaction (the process is different if you’re not using magic; this will not work if you’re not using magic) will mess up your soap. Give your wand a quick flick at the cauldron and say the incantation, Sape Jago! (Saype Jah-go) the mixture will combine and do the chemical thing it needs to go to turn into a bar of soap. WELL DONE! (Paul would have went over this in a previous class)

Face mask:

Pick any natural facemask recipe you can find and make it! Don’t have to be complex or difficult; pick something easy if you want!

Towel!

1. Using either beach grass, bamboo, okra, or anything else that can be made into material (mentioned in class)

Next use all of these things!
Then, write a reflection on how they work!

-I need at least a post with each process (ie: the soap, then the face mask, then the towel, and you can include a post of your character trying the face mask if you WANT. Optional and for fun!) but you can do as many posts as you want for each process as well.
-Then, I need the reflection.
-The soap part can be done in the potions lab, or elsewhere if your character wishes. Easiest in the lab. The other posts can be done anywhere in the castle your character would do these things, including the greenhouses. This thread is to track your posts and link them in as you post. Feel free to play with each other/work together (while still individually producing the products of the assignment). If your character wants another person to try anything they’ve made, that is allowed, too, but make sure to note it in the reflection.
