As for guiddance, that they had as well.

"Most guidance in your studies would likely come from the professors and department head of the program you decide to follow," Gavin remarked, thinking back to his own experience, both as a student and staff. "They would be the best bet in knowing what's expected in the program as well as the field after graduation and may even be of assistance in giving you connections to use later in life." He himself had a few people from his university days that he still interacted through years at the Ministry and his other jobs. "However, there are usually a general advisers for the university as well."

Then the subject turned to advisers, and once again, her partner was ahead of the game in answering. She nodded in agreement and added, "Most universities also have student advisers - upperclassmen who assist the incoming freshmen with things like class schedules, dorm assignments, and adjusting to university life."
Oh good, so living on campus wasn't a requirement and if things continued as she hoped with her current relationship standing, she had little reason to live on campus. Fly? Like fly her broomstick? Actually, she could see herself doing that. Or apparition, assuming she passed her test this summer. She nodded, mulling over the information given and oddly felt out of questions? How had she run dry so quickly?

"Well thank you both," she said, picking up a few of the various flyers on the table, as her attention was drawn back to Jace.

Although he said, if he ended up in a major University, getting drafted would've been a lot easier." But that's not the point here, was it? Perhaps it was Jace dropping Skylar a hint to still aim for a good University whether or not she'll pursue to become a professional Quidditch player. "I'm sure they have all sorts of clubs, including Quidditch, just like what we have here in Hogwarts...although theirs would be more challenging?" University seemed harder 100 times anyway.
She sensed the surprise about her playing professionally, but honestly, she didn't get it? Yes, she played quidditch was CAPTAIN, played on the Under 17, but that didn't mean Quidditch had to be her LIFE. She enjoyed the sport well enough, and liked to consider she was a decent player. But if she wanted to play professionally, she didn't really want to go the University Education route as a stepping stone. She did nod though, picking up the subtle vibes that she should aim for a good university, a major school, which with her course load and work ethic, well, she could only hope for the best. "That probably makes sense. I wonder though, i guess teams and clubs play other schools, instead of having teams within the schools?" That was probably a given though.

He thought it wouldn't be much different for the wizarding folks, and so he just kept quiet nodding along as the professor spoke agreeing with what she had to say.

Jace was about to ask a follow-up question, however, he thought that the woman already had enough of his queries upon giving him a university pamphlet for his chosen school. The Ravenclaw dipped his head and received the paraphernalia with both hands, "Arigatou."

And as the woman moved on to answering the other students, Jace busied himself by opening the pamphlet and read its contents. He was thrilled to see the familiar Japanese characters printed on it, and read it with much enthusiasm.

With his hyperfocused mind enabled, Jace continued to read the pamphlet, taking mental notes here and there as he absent-mindedly walked around the area. With nothing else in mind but the pamphlet, the dripping sound was not heard-- before he could even say the word cursed, Jace stepped on a blob of red paint on the floor, slipped, and landed on his side, blinking in surprise. Now that the pamphlet in his hands was discarded upon landing on the cold floor, his eyes wandered to the other blobs of paint on the floor...

...and slowly up to the ceiling where he saw just in time, the formation of the bloodied candles into what the Daily Prophet called "ominous hawk" that he'd seen a few months ago in the dungeons with Matt. It can't be just any prank. Rather, was it something their former Head Girl, Kitty Valentine left for them as...a parting gift?
Reading the contents of the pamphlets, Skylar was focused intently on the words, until she, standing right next to the older Ravenclaw, saw from her periphery and unable to react quickly enough, just followed his gaze from where he ... stumbled over his own feet or .... oh....

Uh. Uh. That message again??

What was this even about? And in the middle of a job fair?? Did house elves want to have other jobs too? What struggle? Squibs?

Squatting down down beside the Ravenclaw, she held her hand out to help him. "You alright? You don't need a healer, do you?" Because there was two over there, one being Harriet Paton's mother, the other, Mama Adara, both of whom she was familiar with.
