Getting fire breathed on you by a dragon was no easy thing. Adi gritted his teeth, his eyes squeezed tightly shut as though that would keep the pain away. It didn't help. He heard Benny's shout along with the voices of the helpers obviously stunning or Orion. Adi didn't blame the dragon or anyone else. Accidents like this were bound to happen.
There were movements at his side and Adi opened his eyes to see Benny there. "I'm fine,'' he said through still gritted teeth and as he tried to sit up. When he did, Adi looked down at his shoulder. The skin was burned away and his flesh was visible. "Could have been worse,'' he told Benny in an attempt to reassure him though the pain seemed to be getting worse. |
