Of course, he has his professors at his disposal should he seek advice in choosing his lifelong career, and he knew too that they'd be biased. Perhaps the practitioners in the Great Hall will clear things up for him. However, a quick assessment of the place told him otherwise. They'll be biased too.

Instead of going right down to business, Jace found himself up the dais, looking at the brochures spread out before him. He thought he should start from the very basic source of information, and branch out towards the booths that interested him. His mind wandered to his initial plan of going back to Japan to continue his studies, only to be pulled back to reality when he caught sight of the two professors manning the booth. "Konnichiwa," the greeting was not intended to be spoken in his native language, and Jace was quick to correct himself. "Good day, professors." and offered them a bow.

With a slight blushing of the cheeks, Jace continued to leaf through the brochures before him, stopping here and there to read the information. "Hi, would you know if there is a Wizarding University in Japan?" Jace honestly felt stupid asking that, considering that he's from there. Must be the NEWT revision taking up most of his time, instead of researching these things.

Ragnild hadn't been waiting long when the first student (Jace) approached the booth. An eyebrow raised slightly at the greeting, but she wasn't fussed about it. Her sister was the language expert in the family, but she'd attended enough guest lectures in her time to recognize the greeting as Japanese. "Konichiwa," she replied, hoping she hadn't butchered the pronunciation too badly. "As a matter of fact, yes. The largest Japanese wizarding universities are in Tokyo and Osaka, but there are a few smaller community colleges. Is there a particular area of study that interests you?" She'd need that information to help him pick a university.

Probably, but she doubted they had an offering for one of her top contenders for career choices.

"Good day, so uh, going to Wizarding University. What's the advantage? Is it necessary?" She bit her lip, wondering how many questions she was limited to, because she had about a hundred about university. "What's the payoff? Do you make more? Are there sports on campus? Are there scholarships available if you play sports? What's the housing situation like?" Okay, that was enough maybe to start them off, but there was more and someone should probably kick her away from this table. Pronto, before she talked an ear or two off.

A girl (Skylar) soon appeared. Ragnild smiled, but before she could return the greeting, she launched into a barrage of questions. This one was certainly curious! Good. Asking questions was the best way to gain knowledge. She took a moment to sort through the girl's questions. "No, wizarding university isn't technically necessary, but it will open up a wider variety of job prospects," she said. "Most positions will pay more for a degree, but even when that's not the case, the experience you gain through university classes will help you in the long run."

Then the subject changed to sports, which, truth be told, was not her area of expertise at all. "Yes." She nodded. "Almost all universities have sports in some form or other. The ones large enough to have their own sports teams will offer athletic scholarships, but even the small community colleges almost always have a student-run club for sports if nothing else."

Ah, housing. Now that was something she knew more about! "University housing is a bit more flexible than what you're used to here at Hogwarts," she said. "You'll have a dorm, or course, with one or two roommates. You'll be assigned a roommate to start, but you get the option to pick a different roommate later on, if you like. The dorms are a little bigger than the ones in boarding school. The exact amenities vary by location, but you can expect beds, a study area, bathroom, and usually a small kitchen area." Did that answer her questions?

Snickering to herself, she looked up to see the WU booth. OooooOooooh..... This was probably what she should be paying the most attention to. She wanted a good job, not just entry level for life. The surest way for her to be where she wanted was to find a good degree at WU. She knew that. Everyone knew that. But which one?!?! She approached the table, and smiled at the professors on the other side of the table. "Hello!" she greeted them. "Are we allowed to take any brochures we would like?" She had already grabbed each kind from the Ministry booth, but there were definitely more options here. Please say yes please say yes. "Is there information on each location too, or primarily the degrees available?" Because that was also an important factor. And OOH yes, she wanted to hear about scholarships.

Another girl (Kye) turned up, and this one appeared very interested in the pamphlets. "Hello," Ragnild replied, returning the girl's smile with a small one of her own. "Yes, of course! Please take as many as you need," she said. She considered the girl's question for a moment. "Yes, you should find information on both. Is there a particular location or field you're considering?" Maybe she would be able to offer some information not provided in the pamphlets?

Ollie still had no idea what he would like to pursue after he graduated from Hogwarts, and that was starting to worry him. Sure, he was only a fourth year, but he thought that he was getting a bit old already, and he would like to focus on the right OWLs next year.

He got to the Wizarding University booth because that seemed like the logical first stop, even though the booth was all the way at the back of the Great Hall. Ironic, he thought, but it made sense seeing as that was definitely the biggest booth there.

As he approached the two professionals at the booth, he overheard all of the questions asked by the Slytherin Quidditch Captain. Wow, she had a LOT of questions. The boy found it useful and was indeed curious to see what the professors would answer, so he stood there quietly, waiting for whatever they would say. He sent the Ravenclaw guy a friendly smile as he recognised him as being one of Matt's friends, and he looked over at the other Slytherin girl when she spoke up. Her comment made his gaze drift to the brochures and he took one to flip through as he listened to the answers to all of their questions.

She didn't do too well with crowds and the number of students gathered round was rather overwhelming to say the least.

Her eyes darted back and forth between the information along the booth and the others who were asking questions. Hopefully once they were all attended to, she could walk over and ask some questions of her own. In the mean time, she chose to remain quiet.

She wished Zorion was here.

Ragnild soon spotted a pair of students (Ollie & Tala) and smiled at each of them in turn. My, they were awfully quiet! "Hello there," she greeted them. "Do you have any questions for us?"
