The Stunning Spell missed Finn and Zoryn by mere inches but unfortunately, they had another problem on their hands. Night’s decapitation and summoning of the dummies, though successful, ended up being given up halfway and so, the heads of the dummies were starting to rain down on them instead.


The Silver Shields, as cast by Callum and Alessandro, were working. While the Hufflepuff’s spell was faint, it did deflect a spell from an oncoming dummy, though at a much weaker level. To make matters worse for the dummy, Callum’s Petrificus Totalus hit it squarely in the chest and the dummy froze in place before falling backwards and.......

......... being caged up tightly by the works of one Junia. It fell backwards still and landed with a THUMP on the snow, cage and all. There was no way it was going to escape now.

Maybe working together was working out better for them.


The joint forces of Tenacius, Rylee, Vivian and Vi caused the Protego Rampart to form a large protective barrier that covered a significant section of the room, with Shera and Emmalyn now being on the safe side. Tenacius’s plan on using the surroundings was working out much better, thanks to the help of a younger student. The snow melted into water but the use of the Ventus Charm from Stasya was what caused the pool of water to turn into ice, causing two approaching dummies to slip and fall rather hysterically.

However, they weren’t the only ones in danger of slipping. Magnolia, who was heading off to a corner, probably needed to watch out for the ice she was approaching.....


Helping each other was a key theme here, as seen from the way Derf had managed to save Natalie from being hit by a spell. Furthermore, the ropes binding him to the dummy were starting to fall away, thanks to Stasya’s handy spellwork. It was probably a good thing that the dummy was still stunned, meaning that they were safe from being attacked by it.

Something they weren’t safe from? The spells that were flying everywhere, not to mention the dummy that had been banished in their direction as well. Wheeeeeee!

The silver lining in this situation was that the Shield Charm protecting Natalie was now so strong, that it shielded them as well, and ended up joining forces with the Protego Rampart that was steadily growing bigger.....


Another case of helping each other out was from the work of first year Hanna, who saved both herself and Olivia from the flying dummy. The dummy did a few impressive flips as it soared through the air and landed, sprawled out, on top of Théo and the protective shield he had in place.

At least it wasn’t a snowball this time.


The situation with Zarina and Bel was also turning out better. The dummy, now stunned from the previous spell, flew straight towards the Hufflepuff but because she was prepared, it hit her shoulder and fell forwards, unable to move.

However, any victory they might be experiencing was cut short when Vivian’s Reductor Spell hit another nearby dummy, causing it to explode with a large BANG! Dummy!ashes started to rain down on those nearby, particularly this pair.


That wasn’t the only blast in the room, though. Kye’s mix of Deletrius and Confringo caused a dummy to explode with another, and much more fiery, BANG! This time, Nerissa fell victim to the ashes that rained down from the dummy. It was probably a good thing she was moving because ashes weren’t the only thing coming for her: the flaming arm of the blasted dummy was now soaring in her direction.


Stunning spells were still in abundance, and they were clearly helping to dwindle down the number of dummies in the area. Two of Hattie’s stunning spells missed their respective dummies by mere inches but the third one did the trick. It hit an oncoming dummy at the same time that Vivian’s stunning spell and Matt’s feeezing spell hit it, causing something unusual to happen. The dummy froze but there was also a pale blue tinge to it as well. It looked like the dummy wasn’t about to move anytime soon.


Speaking of Matt, he might want to listen to the Head Boy and move. Stasya has successfully managed to set a dummy on fire and send it flipping backwards but that now meant that there was a flaming dummy that was lighting up the room even more and flying....... straight towards the older Gryffindor himself.


There was an odd game of spell!tennis going on. Kye’s Impediment Jinx missed a dummy and headed towards Skyler, instead. But because she had a shield around her, the spell bounced off of it and flew towards its caster again. And on and on it went, all the while the spell, and the shields, getting weaker and weaker. Maybe anyone in the middle of the fray might want to watch out, especially Miranda.......


Jessa has managed to find out something hat the others didn’t know. Not only did it reveal the animation charms in place around the dummy she was inspecting but it also revealed the source of it all. Something that was making it happen right in a corner of the room.....
