6. Divination
Maisie saw the day her mother died in a teacup. A cross over a pile of dirt and her mother’s face, floated in the white porcelain. On the cross was the number 8.11. On the eighth of November in Maisie’s first year, she received the owl telling her that her mother had died. In her Head of House’s Office, Maisie cried tears of relief. The Professor took it as grief and left her alone. No one would ever know. In the Ravenclaw dorm, Maisie went to bed early and wrote stories. Stories where the knight banished the evil at last.
