Post Albus Dumbledore actor Jude Law reportedly has finished filming 'Fantastic Beasts' 2

According to a new casting announcement, Jude Law, who will portray Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts series, has recently completed his work on the second installment, out next November. The sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is presumably still in production, as it is doubtful the entire movie has completed filming in less than three months.

Law recently wrapped filming on the sequel to “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” where he plays a younger version of wizard Albus Dumbledore, a role made famous by Richard Harris and Michael Gambon in the “Harry Potter” movies. He is also still attached to star in a third “Sherlock Holmes” film, which Warner Bros. is currently developing.
Up next for Law is Woody Allen's latest feature, currently shooting in New York City, and the above-mentioned project Rhythm Section.

The following plot details were released by Warner Bros. about the second installment, which hits theaters and IMAX in November 2018.

J.K. Rowling wrote the screenplay for the film, which opens in 1927, a few months after Newt helped to unveil and capture the infamous Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. However, as he promised he would, Grindelwald has made a dramatic escape and has been gathering more followers to his cause—elevating wizards above all non-magical beings.

The only one who might be able to stop him is the wizard he once called his dearest friend, Albus Dumbledore. But Dumbledore will need help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander. The adventure reunites Newt with Tina, Queenie and Jacob, but his mission will also test their loyalties as they face new perils in an increasingly dangerous and divided wizarding world.
The starring cast for Fantastic Beasts 2 includes Law with Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski), Ezra Miller (Credence Barebone), Johnny Depp (Gellert Grindelwald), Kevin Guthrie (Abernathy), Callum Turner (Theseus Scamander), and Zoe Kravitz (Leta Lestrange).
