1. Herbology

Herbology was not her favourite subject. She stood at the end of the bench, staring cautiously at the mud and dirt. There were dragonhide gloves in a trug under the bench, but Maisie preferred to use her own. Her mother was a magical seamstress, and had enhanced her Herbology gear purposefully, knowing how Maisie hated getting her hands dirty. (Originally, she had tried to make them herself, but the material was just impossible.) Maisie pulled them on. “Well, Herbology,” She said, edging towards the mud piled up on the table. She glanced anxiously at the girl she was sharing with.
