Her hands were fastidiously running through her wild curls to shake away the sensation of phantom lice that she imagined were left by the sorting hat. Teddy looked around at the Slytherin table that she was pointed towards. Oh, how she wishes she was wearing her favourite peach-and-cream saree rather than these boring, unflattering robes.
The middle Peale sister stood at the end of the table, looking for even the slightest familiar face. Jagan wasn't sorted into this house, it looked like, so she looked for at least Corbin...or even Mr. Grumpy Pants would do. Sweet skies, this was going to be a long year.
On his way to claim his usual seat the silvery ghost flew right through a girl that was standing at the head of the table, giving her an unexpected icy shower welcome. Giving her a look over his shoulder the Baron grumbled.
"Find yourself a seat young lady. There are quite a few vacant ones."
Hovering over to the empty seat next to Katy Toussaint still with sword in hand the Baron boomed out probably right in Katy's ear.
"Weeeeeeeelcome! Welcome to the most noble house of Slytherin! We've won the house points championship three years straight, let's make it a fourth!" Letting his eyes run over the faces he beckoned around with his sword as he talked.

She caught one dude looking at her funny. She gave him a little stink eye to challenge him. She raised an eyebrow at (Oliver) and thought there was nothing wrong with playing with utensils.
Turning his eyes to meet that of the second year girl that was playing with her silverware and a deck of cards the Baron demanded of her.
"Just what are you doing with that fork young lady? You'll be served dinner soon enough. And why have you brought a deck of cards to the feast?" Seriously, kids these days. Didn't they get taught proper feast etiquette anymore?
