Olly made his way toward the Slytherin table, finding himself thinking about the ways in which this feast was much different than last year's start of term feast. That was always how these things went, wasn't it? Lots of reflection on what had changed in a year. And things had certainly changed. But Olly was going to focus on the positive changes that had occurred. For one, he was a sixth year now and officially did not have to worry about OWLs. Next up were NEWTs but that was future Olly's problem. Second, he was a prefect now. The thought still terrified him just a bit but he was getting used to it. So far it hadn't been too difficult, but considering they had only been in the castle for less than five minutes things probably wouldn't stay quite as easy.

Olly had a smile resting on his face as he approached the table. He was happy to see there were already several others there, chatting and getting along. He stopped to say hi to the ones he knew first. "Hey," he greeted Declan cheerfully. He was going to make some joke about magic tricks but it seemed like he was beat to it. Olly offered a warm smile for Katy and a wave for the boy who shared his name and kept moving down the table. Prefects were supposed to interact with the little ones, right? He'd never been so good at that but he was working on it. There were two younger ones that he recognized, so he knew they must at least be second years. Unfortunately he could not remember either of their names. But his smile was friendly enough he was hoping it wouldn't matter anyway.

"Hello," he greeted them (Blaze and Liam). "Are you ready for another year at Hogwarts?" Positive energy? This was working, right? Olly moved just a little bit more down the table to where there was a completely new face. "Hello. Welcome to Hogwarts!" It would be a bit awkward if she wasn't actually new, but he was pretty positive that she was. Like 99%.... at least 94%.
