While
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them took place entirely in New York City, the first installment of J.K. Rowling's series never shot a scene in the United States. The on-location status for the film's sequel, however, will change significantly.
Fantastic Beasts 2 (for which Rowling said the title is no yet set), will reportedly begin filming this August - exactly two years after the first movie stared - and will this time take place in the U.K. at Leavesden Studios, and on location in Paris, France, which is the center stage of the second movie. This is in accordance to an update on a
film production notes site, and is not 100 percent confirmed by Warner Bros., though safe to say there is accuracy here.

Those confirmed for
Fantastic Beasts 2 include director David Yates and the rest of the production team, as well as actors Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waerston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller, Zoe Kravitz, and Johnny Depp.
