With a second duel that seemed to have ended with no real ending, Cassie wasn’t quite sure what to expect out of her third duel in the mix. At least she was dueling a fellow girl this time around, not that gender mattered to her. It just threatened awkwardness like a boy underestimating her or trying to protect. It wasn’t a clear competition, but she and Katerina were on an even playing field with no such issues even if the Ravenclaw hadn’t had a chance to see her previous duels.

“Hello,” she greeted the other girl politely as she made her way to their starting places, her gear all secure. Cass then bowed as was protocol and had become almost habit without thinking. Once the third year had straightened, she took a deep breath as she moved into an opening stance, preparing to take aim to begin.

“Locomotor Wibbly,” she cast to start off. Then even before she could let herself relax she added “Fumos!” with all her focus. Granted it was a higher level spell, but she had been practicing it, feeling it had useful potential. As the cloud of smoke was produced in response, Cassie had to admit it was good starting point. Could certainly take someone off guard. And maybe keep the other girl from knowing where her other spell was at any given moment.
