Lady Helena had been in the library. Often during these troubling times, she found that the stimulating nature of books kept her in fairly good spirits but not even this could ease her mind. She kept thinking about Sir Nicholas and how much more ruffled he had been than she had ever seen him before.

Sighing, she exited the library and came to an abrupt pause. She hardly expected to see him so soon after the events of the ghost meeting. What was he doing there? Did the tapestry intrigue him so? Whatever the reason, she highly doubted she could be the reason for his appearance here so her ladyship moved swiftly onwards. She was almost certain that, aside from the poltergeists and the Baron, she was the spirit he least wanted to see right now.
