Sam rested her chin on her hands, her eyes wandering around the Great Hall as the new first years got sorted. They lingered on the Gryffindor table longer than anywhere else, as she sought out her bestie. Not catching Dora's eye just yet, she turned to the staff table, and the many,
many changes that had apparently happened over the summer. She was pretty sure she didn't recognise half the people there, and she wasn't entirely sure how see felt about that.
She'd ponder that more later though, as a new firstie had arrived!

Thus he was silent as he took his place at the table of his new house. But after his mind was at ease, he began to gaze around the hall. Why was there no ceiling on this room?! That just wasn't practical at all.
He had a lot to learn about wizards, apparently.
"S'amazin', innit?" Sam said, following the first year's gaze to the ceiling. "Enchanted. Changes wiff the weather n'all." She smiled softly, remembering her first feast. "Welcome to 'ogwarts, 'n' more importantleh, to Ravenclaw. I'm Sam, third year. If yeh need anyfink, jus' ask."
She could totally be helpful. Where
were their prefects anyways?
