Kitty followed her fellow Ravens into the Hall. She waved at Haddie from a distance but there were so many chattering people between them that she didn't try calling out to her.

Now where to sit? Since she was a prefect she felt she had a responsibility to welcome first year Ravenclaws to the house. Was that what prefects usually did? Speaking of which, where was Rooney? Oh well. Kitty spotted a just sorted Ravenclaw (MASON) and moved to sit down next to him.

'Welcome to Ravenclaw Mason," Kitty said, smiling at him. (She had heard his name when he was called to be sorted.) "What school did you transfer from? Or were you homeschooled?" Because he was rather big for a first year.

She also waved at Hadleigh as she passed by them.
