Janelle wasn't exactly in the mood for the opening feast. The train ride had been pleasant enough, but now, faced with the reality of year six........she was not feeling so inspired. Finding an empty seat at the Ravenclaw table, she sat down. With a glance at the staff table, Janelle felt rather empty. The majority of her professors were gone, replaced by a new batch. Even Professor Flamsteed had jumped ship and he'd been at Hogwarts forever.

With a sigh, Janelle pondered the term to come. She was on a mission this year. She had a lot to prove, to herself mostly. Trying to think positively, she surveyed her house table from one end to the other. Familiar faces mostly. Pretty soon there would be a bunch of new little ickles joining the group. Janelle would join the crowd soon enough. For now, she just sat back and prepared to be entertained.
