"Heya Prefect Frankeh! Yo Blaisey!" he zoomed around them to plop himself on the other side of the table, just as the Gryffindor House Ghost rose up through the table "Sir Nick! Gonna be rid of us for a coupla months and finally have some peace and quiet eh eh?" he chuckled beaming at the ruffle-collared specter.

"Possibly my least favorite thing about summer," the ghost dramatically lamented. "A quiet Hogwarts is no Hogwarts at all!"

Ha. Let's face it, that hadn't happened yet and probably wouldn't start this year either.

Looking around the table, and then the hall, Marsha sighed and looked around for Vince. She had to say good bye to him for a fortnight too... and she wasn't looking forward to that either.

Man, she hated the end of term feast.

This face was unacceptable.

"No need to appear so glum, Marsha," the ghost pleaded with the Gryffindor.

SPOILER!!: Bentley

Bentley grumped his way into the great hall and grumped his way unto a seat at the Gryffindor table. Could they just please go home now? He had done his big brotherly duty of checking in with Heath to ensure that he had all his stuff packed and that he was down here for dinner.

Now the sooner the food came, the sooner he could be away from this place and the crazy girls that inhabited it. Yes..that was a lovely and comforting thought...

"Same goes for you, Bentley."

No need for solemn faces this evening.

SPOILER!!: Genny

Knowing what a big, unmatchable feast Hogwarts had, Genny deprived herself of food all day to consume as much as she could this evening before leaving for home tomorrow morning. She had big nice plans this summer.

Sir Nicholas returned the girl's grin with a dazzling one of his own. One he was sure Lockhart himself would be jealous of. "Ah, to be alive and feel the pains of hunger," he sighed affectionately at her upon hearing the noises coming from her stomach.

SPOILER!!: Hady

With exams, lessons and everything out of the way Hady was in a wonderful mood and the large smile on her face showed it. Her entire summer was this year was dedicated to her family, the band and Frankie. As well as a few friends she'd plan to see as well.

Entering the great hall Hady did something completely different. Rather then head for her own house table she went straight for the red and gold. "Hello Sir Nick," she greeted warmly giving a nod of her head in greeting to everyone else at the table. Walking over towards Frankie she gave the blonde a light nudge. "Hey you." The plan was to stay here a few minutes before making her way to her own table.

"Good evening." Pause. "Hadleigh." Emphasis on the FULL name.

The ghost adjusted his ruffles a bit.

But perhaps now would be futile in reminding the Slytherin of his preference in his full name as the tunnel vision of young love had been established between her and the Gryffindor prefect. Which caused Sir Nicholas to take a longing look towards the Ravenclaw house table. Still had not recited that sonnet he had written.

SPOILER!!: Bec

She had missed her parents and little brother but of course she would not admit that out loud. She was a bit bumped out that her House didn't win the Housecup but she had tried her best even if it wasnt enough.

Dressed in her uniform, the soon to be second year sat down at the Gryffindor table and looked around. Not spotting any of her friends yet, Bec grabbed her bag and opened it up to take out some gummy worms. If this was going to be like the start of term feast she now came prepared. Casually eating the candy , she day dreamed of being back home.

"Oooooooh, what delectable sweets have you brought with you this evening?" he inquired.

Where was Mel, though? Probably running late.

Hads started toward Tenacius and paused, again, as she saw an unknown Gryffindor girl (Geneva) sit next to him. Who was this, now? A friend or was she maybe hoping for something more? The thought troubled Hads more than she cared to admit, but she wouldn't let herself act on it just yet. Not until she was sure. A friend Hadley could deal with, but if she had a crush on Ace, or worse, he on her...she knew from experience how well she'd handle that.

Absently rubbing the back of her head at the memory of being knocked out by the loathsome Auror, Hadley made her way over to Salamander and sat down. "Hey, Salamander. Ready for summer?" She turned to the girl sitting next to Ace and sized her up briefly, then held out her hand. "I'm Hadley."

Speaking of young love - which he prided himself on being able to sense - the ghost grinned at the Ravenclaw.

But the Gryffindor House ghost managed to snap him out of his intense door-watching task. "Huh?" he asked, eyes blinking for a moment before he caught the tail end of Sir Nick's question. "Oh. Summer. Yeah. Lots of stuff planned. First summer as an of-age wizard." The prefect grinned, leaving it at that.

Now that he was officially distracted, the boy allowed himself to remain so, trusting that Hady would come over to him the moment she saw him. "Hello, Ace," he greeted the boy as he sat down at the table. His gaze then turned toward the other Gryffindors that were now present. Marsha, Bentley, Genny, Bec, and Dora each got a look of acknowledgment. Even the Ravenclaw got a look too.

Frankie couldn't help but do a double-take at the slight of Blaise Bellaire though. How long had it been since his mother plucked him out of school over that detention of his? A couple of months? Gryffindor Tower, needless to say, hadn't been the same without Blaise around. "Welcome back, Blaise."

Hey, you.

The blond grinned the moment her voice was heard. He knew, without even having to turn his head, exactly who had arrived at the lion's table. Her voice and the nudge was all he needed. "Well, well, well. Welcome to the cool table, Hady." He playfully stuck out his tongue at her and gave her hand a squeeze.

"Nothing too reckless with your new magical freedom," Sir Nicholas teased. "Would hate for one of our house prefects to be returned to us in a matchbox."

Right now Blaise was stuck waiting as he watched the rest of his house--the rest of the school really--pack into the Great Hall. The boy's attention was immediately caught by the ghost he hadn't seen in forever. "Good evening Sir Nicholas! I dunno if I'd use the word delightful but I did miss seeing you!" It was true. The boy had no ghosts at home. "Would have said goodbye and everything, but my parents showed up was kinda sudden." And a welcomed surprise that had been. "Have I missed anything interesting?"

Oh and there was Tenacious! He hadn't gotten a glimpse of the boy since he'd left back in April. "Hey mate! You're looking awful chipper this evening." He replied with a dimpled grin of his own plastered across his face. But really...the boy seemed hyped up on SOMETHING. The prospect of summer perhaps? Seemed legit.

Theeeeeeeeere was Bentley! Blaise waved his cousin over to him--because he'd been saving him a seat and all--already noting the grumpy look on his face. If he had to guess, he'd say Chloe. It was always Chloe. Honestly, he didn't know why he bothered and he didn't figure he really wanted to know either. "Come tell the wise and sagely Blaise all about your Ravenclaw troubles." You know, since his cousin was so obviously trying to avoid looking in that direction.

Wasn't too long before someone took the spot next to Tenacious across from him, greeting everyone as she did. "Hey Genny, bet you're really looking forward to summer." Safe bet. Who ever wanted to stay here anyway? It was horrid. The boy was glad he'd been gone for months. Oh and another one, Merlin that Second Year must have been popular. "We're still on for Ollivander's, yeah?" He asked, as Hadley took the spot on the other side of the Gryffindor.

Also, was that Dora sitting all the way over there? Blaise thought it a little curious, since most of the people he knew and figured she knew, where sitting over here. Still, maybe she didn't like the idea of having to squeeze in and force people to scoot. "Hi Dora!" And a waaave for her. Hello.

The voice of his Prefect drew his attention from his Year mate and had him twisting in his seat. "Thanks! It's only for the night but it'll be nice sleeping in the Gryffindor Common Room again." Just in case it would be his last time period. Kid had memories to make and so far his quill was doing a brilliant job of taking them down.

Ah and Melbourne, he hadn't really known much about her til he'd come for his History of Magic Final and had Bentley point her out to him. Sure they'd been housemates for a bit but that didn't mean he'd taken the time to learn ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE personally. "Planning on having a brilliant summer actually!" He said with a grin. "Gonna go on vacation with Katherine and her family for a week then it's the Caribbean with my cousin and Phillip. It'll be epic. Any great plans for you?"

"Well, it is delightful for this specter," he assured. "Yes, well, I did hear about that." Mostly the roaring from the Gryffindor Head of House's office on matter. "Not too terribly much. Although there was an incident with a hag on the grounds nearly eating a student or two," he added casually.
