Ah, so those were his next spells of choice, she would let him have them. The Auror could have just as easily cast the same on herself but she didn't see the problem in letting him have some advantage or another. So no, Lex remained silent and let the boy get extra-sensory aid.

Her plan was simple enough from here. Frankie wouldn't still be standing there after that round of explosions and the fact he bothered to soften the sound of his footsteps told her he actively had plans to walk through the smoke. Tsk tsk. Lex reached for the rubber band on her arm, using it to tie up her hair so it wouldn't hang down and reveal her location. Couldn't just have the boy walk into invisible hair, surely it would have tipped him off.

Now it was a matter of waiting.

Footsteps, the careless sort in a clouded room. She heard them getting closer.

Sure enough, a figure began to emerge through the smoke. All the walking had led Frankie right into her...sorta. Alexa looked down at the boy, set to relieve herself of the levicorpus at just the right moment but then...something wasn't right. Where was his wand? The young woman squinted from her spot in the air but the closer he got was the more evident it was that the boy...did not have his most useful weapon on him. A surrender perhaps...? That simply wouldn't do.

Once the boy was under head, Lex reached her wand down to whack him as hard as she dared in the head. Things became even stranger as the boy...just kept walking....? Did he...er...not feel that? To be sure, the Auror whacked him again but not even a flinch. That was enough for her and she had a fair idea of where this was going and what this 'Frankie' was; a magicless clone. In truth, it was the first she'd seen anyone gemino themselves and she found herself questioning the dynamics but based on general knowledge of the spell, she was pretty sure she knew where this was going. It explained the lack of a wand, as those couldn't be magically duplicated but it didn't explain why she could still hear his footsteps--unless the feather light was cast before the duplication...because magic didn't get transferred that way. This was a classic example of a loose end that should have been tied up. Always cast on the clone after, always.

Alexa ended the levicorpus at last but not before casting a feather light charm on herself to prevent the loud thud. The landing went smooth enough, before she grabbed the thing by its robe, pulling it against her. One arm wrapped from shoulder to shoulder and her chest to its back, she raised her wand to it's neck.

Lex nudged the thing forward. This was her bait now. It was the only sound in the arena. Come out, come out wherever you are, Frankie.
