He was a little confused when the Auror didn't bother to deal with the snake. Was it not really that much of a threat? With careful eyes, he watched the snake lunge for Alexa ... and she just let herself be hoisted into the air by her ankle to avoid the attack. He wanted to be disappointed that she had used his spell to help her out, but he was too impressed to feel that way. That was wicked! He was definitely going to remember that sick maneuver.
Even though she was hanging upside-down, Frankie was not about to let his guard down. He was expecting her to do something. What that was, he did not know. But what he did know was that he needed to up his game before she decided to stop playing with her food and demolish him.
Smoke then blocked his view of her hanging body. He didn't bother casting any spells just yet. He had a feeling in his gut that Alexa had more up her sleeve and that he'd be a fool to start wandering around in the smoke. This was definitely not like duelling Dante, Maggie, Zeke, Henric, or Hugo. Not having any cues to what was about to happen put him on edge. But all he could do was stand there and wait before making any sudden movements.
The first explosion occurred not too far from his foot, which caused Frankie to jump back as the snake he conjured moments ago quickly slithered away to find refuge. As another explosion sounded just ahead of him, the boy moved again. Then there was a third explosion, which he somehow managed to duck. The boy's heart was pounding, his adrenaline sky-rocketing.
Not even bothering to get rid of the smoke, he decided to use this to his advantage as Alexa surely was. The blond verbally casted the feather-light and supersensory charms on himself, making his footsteps harder to hear and improving his hearing and eyesight.
Frankie then took a few steps forward, carefully listening and looking for the Auror. He paused for a moment to cast a silent Gemino, creating a double of himself, before moving again. The double was moving in the direction he last saw the woman, whereas he was now veering a little to the right.
He hoped that Alexa ran into his double before his actual self. Faux Frankie could take one for the team by soaking in all the damage while the real him waited for the right moment to release the incantations that were begging to escape his lips.
