Well, he expected his first two spells to not do anything to Alexa. She was an Auror and probably saw those ones coming a mile away. Frankie, however, was a little disappointed that her shield blocked his nonverbal spell. His face might have dipped into a small frown when he saw the rope disintegrate following the exploding lights of his prior incantations.
The moment he heard the bird-conjuring charm, the Gryffindor knew exactly what was going to happen next. He had casted the spell combination loads of times, and there was no way he was going to let a bunch of birds attack him. "Protego!" Up went his invisible shield, and the birds flew right into it with a POP! each. Puffs of feathers could be seen gradually falling to the floor.
He heard her say another incantation, though he didn't quite make out what she had said. As a green light approached him, the blond thought he could sidestep the spell in time. But, as he was about to take a stride to the left, the spell hit him and the immediate feeling of heaviness overcame him. Merlin. Was this how that one buff dude from Greek mythology felt all the time?
Teeth clenched together, Frankie tried powering through the spell until it's effects passed. Surely he had enough energy and strength to do so. However, as the pressure increased with each second, his knees gave out of him. It was at that moment he made a shield-like movement with his wand before he ended up his face planted on the floor.
"Fi -- Fin -- Finite!"
Relief. No longer feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders, he quickly jumped back up on his own two feet. He eyed the dirty blonde, quite certain she enjoyed watching that, before he made his next set of moves.
"Serpensortia!" Frankie shouted, a black serpent conjuring from the tip of his wand. As it slithered toward Alexa, hissing angrily and bearing its fangs, the prefect knew that wouldn't distract her for very long. So he next casted a silent Langlock and followed that up with "Levicorpus!"
