Though he wasn’t completely running the welcome table, the department heads seemed to be handling that, Simon still felt the need to be around that general vicinity. You know…scope out all the new employees, most of which he had read about or glanced at their files in passing as they got cleared. See who all was returning to the bustling abode that was the British Ministry of Magic. All in all, the head of Security was keeping his ever-watchful eye on the festivities. Time to get back into the swing of things after the holiday break.

Speaking of things, Lynley seemed to be the head at the moment, and having an interesting conversation with an employee. One of HER employees. Oh dear. Simon hoped for the man’s sake he listened to the advice. The law man simply gave the woman a polite nod of acknowledgement, not wanting to interfere, and moved behind the table as it was vacated. It appeared he was to be stepping in until the next boss person ma---nope correction. One was already there as he registered the new Environmental head. It might be weird to not have the quirky Harmony around.
Hearing a question, he moved to speak in answer, but Lynley’s target had taken care of it, directing the new woman to Emmalee. So Simon instead took up an attentive perch in case anyone else needed help.
