There might have been a small chuckle of amusement as Hady went down and the Ravenclaw started taking steps toward the fallen Slytherin. "No shame in calling it quits," she began, twirling her wand in her hand.

Drawing nearer the Slytherin, Nicky realized her mistake. The girl was not stopping and Nicky could see, with only a split second to spare, that Hady was casting again. Nicky had gotten too close and would not have any time to cast a counter spell.

Instead, she dove in the direction of the girl to avoid the langlock, and then rolled, narrowly avoiding the levicorpus. Breathing heavily, Nicky realized she was next to Hady as she struggled to get up. Forgetting, for a moment, that this was a duel and not an actual fight, Nicky kicked out hard, aiming for Hady's injured leg, intending to inflict some pain and get the girl back on the ground.

Eyes narrowed, she trailed her wand on the girl. "Expelliarmus!"
