Nicky narrowed her eyes as her beautiful flaming bushes became charred branches and steam. She had been pleased to see the flames jump up from the plants but muttered under her breath when it became apparent that Hady had managed without even the smallest burn. Apparently abiding by the rules of the club meant that any spell with teeth was practically useless.

Nicky decided to see how far she could push that line.

But in her musing, she was aware that a spell was headed her way, and she quickly flicked her wrist and uttered the incantation for a shield. As the curse fizzled, her eye caught the more subtle wrist movement and she dove to the side, just in time to avoid the crater that the second spell had made.

Laying on the ground, Nicky cursed under her breath, her temper taking over. "Confundo!" she cast from the ground, aiming direction for her opponent. "Bombarda!" That second spell headed for either the girl's legs or for the bushes, she couldn't quite aim from her space on the ground.

And as she pushed herself to her feet and brushed herself off. She didn't exactly care.
