Professor Finch can often be found inside his office if you needed to speak with him, but just in case he's not or he's with another student, he's provided a quaint seating area for you while you wait. A few colorful chairs are arranged in front of chalkboard speech bubbles painted on the wall. If you'd like, you can use the chalk provided in the tin bucket to draw a picture or write a message on them while you wait. Professor Finch shouldn't be too long, but if you can't wait be sure to leave him a note or make an appointment.
