~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Indira was going through an internal struggle. Something which she had been doing ever since Adi and Benny made their relationship be known. She wanted to be as warm and loving as she had been towards him as she had always been. She had considered him her as another son for so many years, after all. But her voice and attitude would not cooperate.
"We're fine,'' she said a little sharply than she intended. Indira closed the door behind Benny with a faint snap! "Why hasn't Adi come with you? Does he know you're here?'' She missed her son and was greatly relieved that things hadn't changed between them since this revelation. Even if she wanted to sulk and distance herself from him, he stubbornly wouldn't let her, a trait he inherited from him.
Indira bit her tongue. She needed to control herself. Her sharp and cold tone would make things bad. "I'm about to make some tea. Do you want to join me for a cup?'' There... a less sharp tone though still a bit cold. |
