"Aren't you going to start getting ready?" Nina asked, threading her earrings through her holes.
"No, it's only a ball. I don't need much time." She continued flicking though her magazine.
"But... all the boys will be there. They'll want to dance wth you, Bea. Don't you want to look nice for them?"
Frowning, Beatrice replied, "Uh... why do I have to look nice for a bunch of boys?"
"Well you might find one you fancy, silly. Come on, there's a nice dress in here."
"Nina! It's just a ball! It's not like it's the Yule Ball, for Merlin's sake."
