Post Rupert Grint starring in Sky Arts' 'The Artist' as Hitler's childhood friend

The project Rupert Grint worked on this summer in Poland has now been revealed - he will star as August (Gustl) Kubizek in a project called The Artist for Sky Arts television. No word yet if it is a movie of miniseries.

Kubizek was a childhood friend of Adolf Hitler, as his biography tells, who even became a member of the Nazi party in the 1940s in allegiance and loyalty to his friend. Kubizek, after World War II and Hitler's death, put together all the mementos he received from the German dictator and and wrote a memoir called "Adolf Hitler, mein Jugendfreund" ("Adolf Hitler, My Childhood Friend") through the Leopold Stocker Verlag.

Presently the plot of The Artist has not been revealed, though the title could be referring to Hitler himself, who was a well-know artist in his youth. Plus, given Rupert's age, it's safe to presume the story took place before the height of Hitler's reign of terror and Holocaust in the 1930s-1940s, as Kubizek was born in 1888 and would have been in his fifties during the war.
