Somewhere between 10,000 and 25,000 girls ages 8 to 12 years old queued up Saturday afternoon in London for the chance to play the new character Modesty in the upcoming
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Many photos of the queue were taken on Twitter and can be seen here. A few girls who
auditioned told the BBC that they were asked a series of questions about themselves.
According to one girl, 100 finalists will be called back for the role, as shown by the image below. All girls who participated received a certificate for their participation.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, written by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling (who commented on the auditions below), will release in theaters November 2016.
