Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight
Toby had taken to casting the Impervius charm on himself every single day, on account of all the cobwebs and SPIDERS that were all over the school at the moment. As a highkey arachnophobe, it was all he could do not to turn and run the other way whenever he saw either of those things, which was an ISSUE when he had CLASSES. In his rational mind, Toby knew the spell made absolutely zero difference, but Toby wasn't very rational these days, and he was good at convincing himself of things that made him feel better. SOOOOOO the charm was in effect. In any case, it was probably a good idea when it came to working with potions, right? In case of cauldron explosions and splash damage.
Actual genius Tobias Fuller-Thompson.
Though when the boy himself entered the classroom now, he seemed to not even notice the cobwebs or the professor's mood or any of that; he was off in his own little world. The Hufflepuff set himself up at his usual table and instantly began drumming his fingers on the desk and his cauldron, finally looking around the classroom before his eyes fell on Culloden. He BEAMED. "HI SIR!" Toby called out, giving him a wave and then going back to taptaptapping. "PRIME potion brewing conditions today." He looked up to the ceiling as though checking the sky, where he suddenly saw ALLLLLLL the cobwebs. Which he promptly ignored.
Disappearing animals. Cobwebs and spiders. NEWT stress. Impending graduation. They'd all done a number on Toby's brain, and not quite knowing how to process and deal with all the different stressors and such, Toby had simply gone a little bit weird...er than usual. Eccentric. It was much better than cracking under pressure, that was for sure. "I am ready to potion."
