Thank Merlin the homework didn't involve being shot into the air. Lux didn't think she could handle it again, and once had been MORE than enough. If Quigley didn't stop with the heights thing, she would end up boycotting his class activities. That SUCKED because not only did she generally like them, but it was important that she get good grades in Charms.
Entering the Charms Annex, she waved at Puck and Adi. "Hey, guys!" Looked like they had also decided to get a head start on the homework assignment. Shooting paint balloons at targets sounded like fun, if not a little messy. She'd try not to get paint all over the walls and ceiling because even with the use of magic it would probably be a pain to clean up. It would also suck if her clothes and hair got messy; paint was not always easy to clean out.
Looking at the targets, Lux saw that they were in different rows and moved all over the place. Wow, the challenge was real. She liked that. She'd start off small and work her way up. Settling on one of the targets in the bottom row, she watched as it moved in a circular motion. Why not give it a shot? Sure, it would be easier to go with one that moved horizontally...but this offered a bit more difficulty.
Waiting for what she felt to be the right moment, Lux brandished her wand at one of the balloons. "ALARTE ASCENDARE!" It soared straight up into the air and....
SPLATT.
Haha, oops. Now there was red paint on the ceiling where the target had been just moments before. |
