23. Carry On - Fun

It had been a month since the loss of Max’s wife, Ellie. The twenty-year-old watched his son sleep. Hudson hadn’t been sleeping much if at all, and when he did he often woke crying and screaming, for his mother most likely. Max feared that nightmares would always plague his son as they had for him after the loss of his mother.

Max knew they would get through this. He would do anything for his son. The boy would be strong like his mother. They would carry on. They had to, for themselves and each other. But how to carry on?
