Academy Award-winning cinematographer Philippe Rousselot has been chosen as director of photography of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them's first film, set to begin production this summer, reported Variety on Friday.

Rousselot won an Oscar for Best Cinematography in 1992 for his work in A River Runs Through It, and has headed the camera in dozens of well-known movies, the most recent of which was Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, another release from Warner Bros., the production company behind the Harry Potter films.
